I cover hoes, pitch-forks, shovels, ice-breakers, coal shovels, fire-place tools and any other interesting
items I find at estate sales. Some have just the shovel part covered with shards, leaving the wood handle
exposed, others are covered entirely. My small hand tools can be easily shipped and are available for
$25 apiece; the larger items are $85 to $125, but are costly to ship. If you live in the des moines,
iowa area, you may want to check these out at From Our Hands Gallery, in the East Village.

The shovel is covered with shards from American Art Pottery, a Capodimonte flower, an old harmonica,
mirror pieces, and beads. The ice-breaker contains shards from a small chipped Betsy Ross dish, a fish
with lapis bead, and an old Morton Salt pen-top. The pitchfork has a blend of earth-tone pastels and
old gold-colored chains, and the top from an old pen that has a little floating chick in it.

Below: This tool is a little longer, but not as long as a regular shovel. It's similar, and may actually
be, a fire-place tool. Tiny tile, shards, mirror pieces, a flower, a button, and an old pin. $45.00
